AIMS

AIMS

AIMS is a festival. AIMS is an academy. AIMS is an intercultural meeting point with and through music.

AIMS Festival and AIMS Academy are activities organized by SONOS and the City of Solsona/Catalonia/Spain.

Since its creation in 2002 AIMS has risen to be one of Spain's finest, most ambitious and international musical summer events. About 400 students from 49 countries and highly renowned teachers from 14 different countries have raised AIMS not only to a high class music festival but also to an intercultural meeting point of young musicians from all over the world.

AIMS Festival 2011: 24 musical events in 12 days!

Instructed by a most growing faculty of international standing, students get lots of opportunities to perform in fifteen of the festival's concerts. Twelve days of intensive courses in piano, violin, viola, cello, chamber music, chamber orchestra and improvisation are planned that will allow participating students to expand their professional education with highly experienced teachers from nine different countries.

Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Solsona has a friendly atmosphere and wide range of leisure activities. With the help of volunteers from the region and the existing administrative infrastructure, AIMS has become a prestigious musical event acting as an international meeting place for our young musicians seeking a common purpose: to provide a strong musical foundation and create bonds between our different cultures.

AIMS feels committed to society. AIMS also goes to those who cannot come near us. Street concerts and concerts in hospitals and homes for elderly are part of AIMS.

AIMS receives strong feedback from media. Local and national press, radio and TV stations are there when AIMS performs.
